Lindsay KimmettLindsay Kimmett was passionate about many things. Family, friends, travel, reading, and medicine were at the top of that list and helped define who she was. But if there was one thing that got Lindsay more excited than any of these it was hockey. She would take it any way she could get it; ball, ice, or pond, it didn’t matter. She was also a strong supporter of women’s sport but was never afraid to compete against men.

What better way, then, to pay tribute to her memory and passion for the sport than playing for a co-ed pond hockey championship in her hometown of Cochrane?

Lindsay KimmettCome take part in the first annual Kimmett Cup, January 10, 2009 at Mitford Pond. The tournament will be a 3-on-3 format between 20 teams with standard pond hockey rules applying.

The event will also include food and beverages, raffles, prizes, a skills competition, and more.

All proceeds to benefit the Lindsay Leigh Kimmett Memorial Foundation.

her as a fierce and passionate competitor.
To help celebrate her memory, two of
them are organizing the first annual Kimmett
Cup, a 3-on-3 pond hockey tournament,
to take place on Mitford Pond on

support to youth groups and
